Shelby County Trustee's Office Goes Green

Residents of the county and city will benefit from a new convenient way to receive property tax bills!

SHELBY COUNTY AND MEMPHIS, TN– May 22, 2019. The Shelby County Trustee and the City of Memphis Treasury, in partnership with mobile and web government leader, PayIt, are now offering the ability for residents to enroll in property tax eBilling via

Residents who enroll in eBilling will receive their 2019 tax bills more quickly and conveniently via email. Shelby County residents already have access to make web and mobile property tax payments through payitShelby. The next evolution of this product incorporates the City of Memphis Treasury and eBilling in a comprehensive digital platform called payit901.

“The Shelby County Trustee’s Office and City of Memphis are excited to offer e-Billing to our citizens," Regina Morrison Newman, Shelby County Trustee said.   "This year, a citizen’s ability to choose eBilling rather than a mailed paper bill is just another step forward in vastly improving customer options, as well as decreasing costs such as printing and postage."

Over 38,000 people already use the payitShelby app to pay County taxes and it has enhanced customer service and convenience.  The PayIt platform and eBilling provide practical and streamlined solutions.

In July, both County and City property tax bills will be available to view and pay on payit901. E-Billing enrollment is available now for City and County residents in preparation for summer property tax billing.
